Mac OS X (Leopard)
Over the past few days, I’ve been installing Mac OS X Leopard onto my Dell Inspiron 1525 - which is now known as my “Hackintosh”. And if I’m brutally honest with you all… I absolutely adore it. For a hell of a long time now, I’ve been hearing about and seeing people migrate across to OS X and just fall in love with it on the first few clicks. But, of course, me only being young, and not having a full time job means that I can’t fork out £1000 for a Mac.
Of course, me being so adventurous and whatnot, I thought I’d give the ol’ Hackintosh route a go - and, as you can tell from this post, and my very recent blabbering on about how immense Mac is… it works! There were a few problems, but that really was all worth it. I now have perfect: Wi-Fi; sound; display; software; and so much more.
So far on my Hackintosh, I’ve got:
Coda
Skype
Adobe Photoshop CS4
Adium
Office for Mac (2008)
ScreenFlow
Google Chrome
Spotify
I’m absolutely over the moon with it! If you’d like to see more pictures and screenshots, or even a video, then feel free to get in touch with me.
